We use guest directors and performers throughout the year in various capacities. Judging, workshop performers and technicians are hired for many festival roles.<\/span><div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-6\">\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\"><strong>Judging Opportunities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">We are looking for qualified adjudicators for the various events. To be eligible to adjudicate, you must:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica;\"><strong>Be 21 years of age and one of the following<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Current theatre arts student, senior level<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Graduate student in theatre arts<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Theatre arts educator<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Professional theatre artist<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Be able to give constructive and articulate written feedback to students<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Possess the skills and experience to judge middle and\/or high school theatre performances and technical presentations<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\"><strong>On the day of a event, the adjudicator must be able to:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Attend\u00a0a judges training session<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Follow prescribed adjudication guidelines<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Watch complete performances\/presentations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Complete adjudication sheets as the performance is in progress<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Write criticism that is both constructive and encouraging<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\">Complete the form and the required rankings<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/isPkgpTitKYxrUDj6\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; line-height: 2;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: small;\">Apply to be an Adjudicator<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-6\">\n\n<h4><strong>Guest Artist Workshop Application:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>California State Thespians provides their members with seven events throughout the year.
