Scenefest is an opportunity for a troupe to present a 10-minute selection from a play. There may be any number of actors in the scene. The scenes will be presented on Thursday, and students will be encouraged to come and watch. There is a fee to participate in this event because adjudication is given. Selected scenes may be chosen to perform mainstage during the festival weekend. The scene must not be any longer than ten minutes. Five minutes is allowed to set up or break down the set. The use of costumes and props is permitted, and chairs are provided. If the scene needs any music, the actors need to bring a battery-operated player. Remember that all material must be appropriate for a school setting. G ratings are preferable. There is limited space, so scenes are selected based on the Troupe’s registration completion date.
