California Thespian’s Junior Thespian festival is an exciting one-day event held annually in early February for Junior High and middle school students (grades six through eight). Students participate in four different workshops throughout the day, are able to sign up, perform, and receive adjudication for select Individual Events, and both students and teachers are able to connect and network with other schools throughout the region.

In addition, recommended performers from that day’s IEs will have the opportunity to perform on stage at the end of the day.

Workshops selections change from year to year and can include options such as: Scene study – Comedy SPORTZ – Dance – Ensemble Work – Makeup – Mime

Registration is $35.00 per student, which includes cheese pizza lunch.

There is no fee for the Theatre Teacher / Troupe Director. You do not need to have a registered Thespian Troupe to Attend!! (although there is an extra $25.00 for non Thespian Troupes) Join us and see what it Thespians is all about. An additional Snack Bar will be open all day.

 “Registration can be limited or closed at any time due to capacity restrictions. Registration priority in the event of a sold out event will be given to active charted Thespian Troupes. Please register early, as you can always edit your registration later until the cutoff date. Please help us focus on the mission and vision of our organization by submitting registration accurately and on time. This way we can put as much of our effort towards making the event as rewarding for you and your students as possible. As a reminder we do not accept personal checks from the Theatre Teacher / Troupe Sponsor, or student’s Parent(s).”
